The movement

ACT - Artist Citizens on Tour
Our mission is to promote eco-responsible practices in show-business.

It’s main objectives are :

  • To make artists realize the power of their actions towards the environment.
  • Offer simple and efficient tools to reduces the environmental footprint that shows and touring create.
  • Accompany artists wishing to become accredited in order to make their commitment recognized, and inspire their audience.

    ACT was created by three women passionate about environment.

    Laurence Lafond-Beaulne

    Laurence is very active in Montreal’s music scene. She is half of the duo Milk and Bone, and a touring musician for many artists. She has always aspired to inspire responsible practices in the artistic field. Her path eventually led her to meet Caroline and Aurore.

    Aurore Courtieux-Boinot

    Aurore initially worked in event planning before specializing in the environmental issues awareness and residual materials management. She eventually developed a true passion for eco-responsibility in events.

    Caroline Voyer

    Caroline is director of " Réseau des femmes en environnement. " In 2008, the network created the Sustainable Event Council, whose mission is to facilitate and encourage organizing eco- responsible events in Québec. The SEC’s eco-responsible " Scene " program is for broadcasters, artists, performing agencies and producers who want to take action towards sustainable development.



    Together, they created ACT, a much needed project that is now reality.
